The Wild Side of English: A Trek to Monkey Mountain!
🐒 The Wild Side of English: A Trek to Monkey Mountain!
Ready to swap the city streets for forest trails and some furry new friends? We’re heading to La Montagne des Singes for a day of nature, English conversation, and some serious monkey business!
Whether you’re a native speaker or just want to practice in a relaxed setting, this is for you. We’ll wander among 200 Barbary macaques living in total freedom. No cages, just nature!
📍 The Game Plan
When: Friday, 1 May 2026
Meeting Time: 9:30 AM (Strasbourg)
Destination: La Montagne des Singes, Kintzheim
The "Plus": If the group is feeling energetic, we have the option to extend our afternoon with a visit to the stunning Château du Haut-Kœnigsbourg nearby!
🧺 Picnic & Refreshments
Walking and monkey-watching is thirsty work! Please bring your own picnic lunch and plenty of water. We’ll find a nice spot in nature to eat together, chat, and enjoy the fresh air.
🚗 Registration & Carpooling
Spaces are limited! To keep the group manageable and ensure everyone has a ride, carpooling spots will be assigned in order of inscription. * Drivers: Please let us know how many seats you have.
Passengers: Sign up early to secure your spot!
🗣️ The Language Policy
This is an English-speaking event designed for practice and fun. However, we are realistic! While we encourage everyone to stick to English, "Frenglish" is almost certainly unavoidable 😉. It’s all about communication and having a good time!
Pack your walking shoes, your lunch, and your best English (or Frenglish) vocabulary. Who’s coming with us?
